Rats (brown rat, black rat) and mice are opportunistic urban rodents that settle in as soon as they find access to water, food and shelter. Their presence is usually revealed by droppings, nocturnal noises in attics or wall cavities, gnawed electrical cables or pierced food packaging. Beyond the material damage (chewed cables, degraded insulation, fire risk), they carry transmissible diseases such as leptospirosis, salmonellosis and hantavirus. Their proliferation is extremely fast: a single pair can produce more than a thousand descendants in a year under favourable conditions.

The intervention starts with a thorough inspection of every potential entry point (technical ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, sewers), then the placement of mechanical or biocide devices suited to the species and the environment. The professional secures access points with durable sealing and sets up bait stations safely out of reach of children and pets.
